Michelle Howard-Herbein, Executive Director, The Arc of Greater Houston, holds an MSW from Indiana University. She has over 30 years of experience in managing community-based organizations for persons with disabilities in Indiana, Virginia, and Texas. She regularly provides training and consultation on organizational change, supported employment, person-centered planning, transition from school to work, program evaluation/outcomes management, and Social Security Work Incentives. She is a credentialed WISA (Work Incentive Specialist Advocate) through Cornell University. She has also been a surveyor with CARF for the past 25 years, in which she conducts 4-5 accreditation surveys per year across the country with community rehabilitation organizations, Veterans Administrations, and behavioral health agencies.
